From Despair to Hope: David’s Journey of Rediscovery
Once a young man full of dreams and aspirations, David's journey has been marked by adversity and loneliness. At the age of 62, he finds himself as the youngest elderly person supported by Emerald Foundation, residing in the serene town of Kamuda Sub-county, Soroti district. David's life has been burdened with multiple health challenges, including tuberculosis, HIV, and a recent cancer diagnosis. His world further shattered when his wife and children turned their backs on him, leaving him in a state of despair and abandonment. With little hope left, David returned to his childhood home, where his aging mother, now 86 years old, provides solace and support.
